Itinerary :
Days 1-2: Marrakech - Taroudant - Tafraoute
Depart from Marrakech toward Taroudant, often called the “Little Marrakech” for its charming ramparts and lively souks. Stroll through the medina, explore the local markets, and relax in the area, with an optional visit to argan oil cooperatives. After dinner and an overnight stay in Taroudant, head to Tafraoute, a picturesque town nestled in the Souss Valley. Discover the valley’s palm groves, Berber villages, and the stunning pink granite mountains. Visit the unique Painted Rocks and enjoy a hike through the surrounding landscapes. End the day with dinner and a night in Tafraoute.
Days 3-4: Tafraoute - Tata - Chegaga (Sahara Desert)
Depart early for Tata, a serene desert town surrounded by oases and mountains. Along the way, visit the breathtaking Ait Mansour Valley, with its gorges and lush palm groves. After exploring Tata’s medina and its historic sites, continue toward Chegaga. Cross stunning desert landscapes, pausing to marvel at sand dunes and desert villages. Upon arrival in Chegaga, take a camel ride to enjoy a magical sunset over the dunes. Experience the warmth of Berber hospitality with dinner, traditional music, and an overnight stay under the stars in a desert camp.
Days 5-6: Chegaga - Merzouga - Ouarzazate
Travel by 4×4 from Chegaga to Merzouga, passing through the vast Sahara dunes and stopping to photograph the striking desert scenery. In Merzouga, embark on a camel trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes and witness an unforgettable sunset. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp. The following morning, enjoy a sunrise over the dunes before journeying toward Ouarzazate. En route, visit the dramatic Todgha Gorges, the Valley of Roses, and the historic Amridil Kasbah. Upon arrival in Ouarzazate, explore the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and the famous film studios. End the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Ouarzazate.
Days 7: Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Depart Ouarzazate for Marrakech via the scenic Tizi N’Tichka Pass. Enjoy stunning views of the Atlas Mountains and stop at viewpoints to capture photos of the landscapes and Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon, marking the end of your journey.
